My Parelli Partners Page: 17 Already!

Wow..can't believe I'm 17 years old already!! Wow..time flies.

Well..I was sick so that kinda made it a bummer. We went and toured a college and went shopping..that pretty much summed it up. Gave the horses extra treats and each an apple.

My "Keep It Natural" Poem

"Keep It Natural"

For my horse: Cocoa

When you're playing on Parelli Level 1.
It's all about just going out and having fun!
By setting a base you make it safe.

You go from learning
How to tie a halter knot,
To never worrying if your horse
Doesn't want to be caught.

But one savvy thing to know is when they're left-brain,
That's the easiest time your horse is to train.

You just have to make sure to consistently play
With your horse every single day!

Then in Level 2..
At liberty they'll stick to you like glue!

When you and your horse learn how to be in Harmony,
You will flow together like a melliflous calm river.
Then you'll see just how much fun horses can actually be!

Slowly but surely you'll become their natural leader
And at the the pasture gate you will always find your
Horsey greeter!

Finally in Level 3...
All your prior problems will disappear completely.

Cocoa and me...
Just you wait and see,
We'll be on Parelli Level 3!

Don't worry though,
Someday you'll get there too...
But for right now we're way ahead of you!

Just give me my carrot stick
I can then find out what makes horses tick
And my savvy string, halter, 12 foot line....
We'll be able to preform this in a short amount of time..
So set the clock...tick, tock, tick tock!
And we'll do just fine.

Now will all our stored up savvy knowledge,
We'll be the first accepted at a fine horsey college!

(I wrote this poem back in 2006 when I was in 9th Grade for my english class. It was just a fun little assignment!)
